Legal Perspectives on Mobile Location Technology during COVID-19

Many assume that location privacy laws are consistent across jurisdictions, and across various sections of the legal code. Within the United States, they are not. And, of course, there are even more differences across nations. In the face of multiple, overlapping, and inconsistent location privacy laws, this Blue-Ribbon Panel will explore how technology implementers, civil servants, citizens, and advocates can collaborate to devise location-based governance solutions that do not violate the law, while engendering trust.
